Dear MPN AN advocate’s,
Our Learn Share & Grow approach that can be achieved through collaboration and is the cornerstone for the advancement of MPN knowledge for our members. The MPN Horizons conference is dedicated to the development of our members as patient advocates and deals with topics such as Psycho-Social issues, How MPN’s work on a Molecular level, how to be an effective Advocate, Pipeline for treatment and Living with an MPN. Dealing with these types of questions is the essence of Learn. Share & Grow and our conference offers the opportunity to support and facilitate the quality of education. This one of a kind conference also provides opportunities to be able to exchange ideas, interact & share best practice and provide a platform to start networking across borders, build alliances and so much more for you to bring back to your own organization.
The registration process will start on June 1, 2019, and we will inform you as soon as the registration platform is online.
Important Notes
Apply for your Schengen visa on time!
Please also remember to apply for your visa on time! To enter Portugal (which is an EU member state) you will need a “Schengen visa”. Detailed information can be found here: https://www.vistos.mne.pt/en/short-stay-visas-schengen/general-information Please check this page carefully!
As in previous years, we will provide a briefing paper in May of 2019 that shall help you when submitting your visa application to the competent authorities in your country. Please make sure you prepare and submit your papers on time (3 months before your trip, i.e. latest by end of July 19).
Finally,
- Please note that there is a restriction of 1 advocate per organization who can participate at the conference.
- 2nd Advocate can register but will need to organize own flights to Lisbon and there will be a conference fee of Euro 500 that will cover accommodation and conference.
