MPN Horizons 2017 – Event Details

MPN Horizons will take place from Friday, October 27th to Sunday 29th 2017 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, Frankfurt, Germany.

 The conference will formally open on Friday at 11:00 with the MPN 101 session followed by a Welcome lunch. The event will conclude on Sunday at 13:00 with a farewell lunch.

The conference programme is organised into 2 sessions per half a day and 4 sessions per full day, with each session consisting of talks on medical, advocacy or patient support topics. The final programme is available here:

MPN Horizons 2017 Programme

Delegates are encouraged to submit material to facilitate the sharing of best practices. Delegates may propose a topic for a short presentation to the conference and/or a poster which will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the conference. Details of how to submit material will be provided in due course.

Dinner will be provided at the hotel on Friday and on Saturday evening, dinner for all delegates and speakers will be arranged on a dinner cruise on the Main river overlooking the skyline of downtown Frankfurt.

Conference Costs

Conference participation costs (see below) will be fully covered for one participant per organisation.  One additional delegate per organisation may register to attend the conference but travel must be arranged by the 2nd participant and a registration fee of Euros 500 (to cover hotel accommodation, local transportation to/from conference centre and meals) will be invoiced, either directly to the 2nd participant or a local sponsor, if appropriate.

 

On registering you will be asked to indicate whether you are a regular invited delegate, 2nd regular delegate, speaker or a sponsor representative. No reimbursements will be made as all necessary arrangements will be taken care by us.

The participation costs covered include:

Flights to and from Frankfurt in economy class

Max 3 nights of accommodation

Local transportation to/from Frankfurt main airport to/from the conference hotel

Food and drinks (breakfast, lunch and dinner) during the conference

Free Wi-Fi connection in the conference and hotel rooms

General costs of the conference

We will not cover incidental costs such as bar, mini-bar, telephone calls, taxi costs, upgrades for double rooms, dinners for relatives attending the conference, and any other non-official activities.

Accompanying persons

Accompanying persons are welcome but cannot participate in the sessions.  A supplement of 20 Euros per night which include breakfast will have to be paid directly to the hotel, as well as 130 Euros to cover the costs of the two Gala Dinners.

Travel costs for sponsor representatives:

Sponsors’ delegates should make their own flight reservations but are also expected to register on the registration website. Room bookings will then be made by our logistics agency. Pharma representatives are expected to settle their room costs at the hotel. We will organize their individual local transport to the conference venue if we are provided with flight details at least two weeks before the conference. Costs for attending the conference, including the daily delegate rate and all meals, will be covered by us and will not be invoiced to pharma representatives.

Registration

Please note that in order to register for the conference, delegates should represent non-profit organisations that support, and advocate for, patients with MPN. Should you be unsure about your eligibility to attend, please email the conference coordinator (see “Further information”).

The MPN Advocates Network will fully cover conference attendance costs (see “Conference costs”) for one delegate per patient organisation. A second delegate per organisation may be registered but a registration charge will be invoiced and travel will need to be organised separately (see “conference costs” for details).
