City of Netanya
Netanya (also known as Natanya, Hebrew: נְתַנְיָה) is la city located near Tel Aviv, on the coast and beautiful mediterranean sea. With its lush greenery, fountains, and sculptures, it is one of Israel’s most beautiful cities.
The city was founded in 1929 and named in honor of Nathan Straus, a prominent Jewish American merchant and philanthropist. In those days, it was a small agricultural settlement that soon became a major tourist and industrial destination. The city is famous not only for its rich fruit plantations, but also for its exquisite diamond processing.
In 2019, it had a population of 221,353, making it the 7th-largest city in Israel by population. An additional 150,000 people live in the local and regional councils within 10 km of Netanya, which serves as a regional center for them.

City Tour on Sunday to Caesarea
Enjoy a half day guided city tour that will take us to Caesarea, 25 minutes drive from Netanya.
Caesarea is a magnificent site, a national park where amazing ancient harbor ruins, beautiful beaches, and impressive modern residences sit side by side. Named by Travel & Leisure as the best tourist spot in the Middle East in 2020, Caesarea is originally an ancient Herodian port city located on Israel’s Mediterranean Coast about halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa.
The site has recently been restored to create one of Israel’s most attractive and fascinating archaeological sites. The restored amphitheater hosts modern-day concerts during the summer months, whilst the Old City has a range of boutiques and restaurants.
For those interested, we will be offering an optional 3.5-hour tour on Sunday afternoon. This will not be an official part of the program, and those who would like to join this tour will need to register at the registration website or at the hospitality desk at the hotel.
